Crescent Real Estate Equities recognizes the importance of promoting healthy communities in which to live and work.

The heart of Crescent’s commitment to the community is FACES of Change©, a unique adopt-a-school program Crescent began in 1997. Through this program, 90 percent of Crescent properties are partnered with schools nationwide. In addition, Crescent provides support and participates in a variety of organizations that focus on children and education.

One example is through the company's donations to public libraries. In celebration of Crescent’s ten year anniversary $10,000, donations were made to public libraries in the major markets Crescent serves including Houston, Denver, Dallas, Miami, Austin and Las Vegas. Northside, a branch of the Fort Worth Public Library, located near Crescent’s corporate headquarters, received donations and in-kind contributions totaling more than $80,000, which represented a combined effort of Crescent, its customers and business partners. This donation enabled the complete renovation of the Northside Branch and recognition of Crescent by the Fort Worth Library Foundation as the cornerstone to their Adopt-A-Branch program. In 2006, Crescent employees, along with students and teachers at FACES of Change partner school Versia Williams Elementary, raised more than $60,000 for a new playground at the school. In October of that year, nearly 300 school, community and Crescent volunteers, gathered to construct the playground in only one day. In addition to the new playground, old equipment at the Fort Worth school was refurbished and repainted, and the areas around the transformed equipment were mulched for cushioning the student' play.
